OA Games 2022 Calls for Volunteers

Join us and become a #GameChanger!

Volunteers are being asked to take up the call to join the Virtus Oceania Asia Games 2022 (OA Games 2022) and be part of an event that has a vision of creating a world where everyone is included through sport.

With up to 1,000 Athletes and Officials expected to be part of the event on 5-11 November, and 12 sports held across venues in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, more than 300 volunteers will be recruited to help deliver the event.

Sport Inclusion Australia (SIA) and Oceania Asia Games 2022 Organising Committee (OAGOC) CEO Robyn Smith said she’s excited to welcome many more people to the OA Games 2022 family.

“Volunteers are essential team members of any major sporting event and I’m excited to watch our team grow in multitudes and welcome people of all different stories, backgrounds, abilities and skill sets,” Ms Smith said.

“We can’t deliver this event without the contribution and heart of volunteers, and this is an opportunity for them to make a real difference in people’s lives.

“I hope the legacy we can create is supporting volunteers to build their knowledge and experience working with people of all abilities which will be of huge benefit to future major events held here in Brisbane.”

OA Games 2022 is recruiting across a range of areas including accreditation, arts & culture, ceremonies, logistics, media and communications, transport, event operations, sport and workforce.

All interested volunteers are encouraged to submit their applications by 16 August 2022.
