Anna Meares Velodrome (Sleeman Sports Complex)
Anna Meares Velodrome, Queensland’s first indoor velodrome, is the home of track cycling in Brisbane. This venue is a multi-use sporting facility located in Sleeman Sports Complex.
The $59 million facility was purpose-built in 2016 for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) as a legacy project that was jointly funded by the Queensland and Australian Governments.
It features a world-class, Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) standard indoor 250m metre timber cycling track in addition to a wide and smooth track on which cyclists can reach speeds that exceed 70km per hour.
The Velodrome Infield has three futsal courts with the centre being a full-sized International court. This facility also has three Badminton courts.
The capacity of Anna Meares Velodrome is 1,500 and can expand to approximately 3,500 with additional external seating.
