Athletics

There was exhilaration in the air and anticipation in the crowd as athletes soared down the track, threw across the field and leapt through the air at incredible heights. 

The Athletics competition was sanctioned by World Para Athletics and had an action-packed schedule of competition for II-1, II-2, II-3 and youth (under 18) athletes. 

Contending athletes had the opportunity to classify in T20 and F20 events which is the first step to pursuing a pathway to the Paralympics.  

The Athletics sport competition was delivered in partnership with Queensland Athletics.

Athletics competition at the State Athletics Facility, Queensland Sport & Athletics Centre was held on:

• Tuesday 8 November
• Wednesday 9 November
• Thursday 10 November
