Sailing

Sailors harnessed the power of the wind to navigate and cruise along glistening Queensland waterways.   

For the very first time II-1 and II-2 athletes with intellectual impairment competed in a Para Sailing International Championship in the Hansa 303 Class. 

The Championship was being held in conjunction with the OA Games 2022 and was sanctioned by World Sailing and supported by Virtus to create more competitive and inclusive sports opportunities.

Southport Yacht Club Hollywell was the Organising Authority that delivered the sailing competition.

The Sailing competition at Southport Yacht Club Hollywell was held on:

• Tuesday 8 November
• Wednesday 9 November
• Thursday 10 November
