Chandler Arena (Sleeman Sports Complex)

Located at Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler Arena has long sporting history in Brisbane.

This facility is a multipurpose sports hall that has a sprung timber floor that enables the venue to host sporting events, seminars, expos, dance events and various other activities.

Volleyball, badminton, futsal, basketball and pickle ball are all daily activities in this venue. Fixed seating is located in the Grandstands that can accommodate up to 1,360 patrons for events.

It was built in Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games and has become well known to locals for hosting basketball and was once home to some of Brisbane’s favourite sporting teams: The Brisbane Bullets and Queensland Firebirds.

As part of Brisbane’s bid to host the 2032 Olympic Games, it’s proposed Chandler Arena will be replaced by a new 10,000-capacity Chandler Indoor Sports Centre.
